Ganesh’ birthday is on 2 July 1978 and his native place is Adakamaranahalli, Nelamangala, Bangalore, Karnataka. Ganesh’ father name is Kishan (Nepali descendant) and Ganesh’ mother name is Sulochana (Vokalliga). He has two younger brothers, Mahesh and Umesh.
Ganesh Career
Golden Star Ganesh began his career as an actor in several TV series and a telefilm which remains unreleased till date. He, then landed up as show host for a comedy talk-show named Comedy Time aired in Udaya TV. His popularity in the show was noted by director B. Suresha who cast him for the film Tapori (2002) for a villain role. His stint as a supporting actor continued until he was cast in the lead role in the film Chellata (2006). His big breakthrough film was ‘Mungaru Male’, directed by Yograj Bhat, the film was a blockbuster hit at the box-office.
Marriage Life and Controversies
Ganesh got married to Shilpa Ganesh on 11 February 2008. The couple has two children Charithriya Ganesh and Vihaan Ganesh.
When they got married in 2008, Ganesh’s teen-aged fans started telephoning him and his parents, threatening to end their lives, saying he should marry only a fan. Some fans even went to his parents’ house in Adakamaranahalli village, 30 km from the Bangalore city, and told them he should not marry an “outsider”. The marriage was supposed to take place on February 18 at a temple in Brahmavar, to be followed by a grand reception on February 23 at Windsor Manor Hotel in Bangalore, but immense pressure from the fans has forced the families of the couple to advance the wedding.
