Shannon Amy is a Gloucestershire project planner and baker who competed on The Great British Bake Off in 2026.
Shannon returned to Bake Off after an earlier year as a backup baker, bringing a love of bread and ambitions to teach baking.
Shannon grew up in Bristol and learned to bake from her grandmother. Gardening later gave her ingredients to use in cooking at her countryside home.[2]
Her day job is in project planning and scheduling. She brought that concern for organisation to a baking style she describes as rustic and playful.[2]
In her exit interview, Shannon said she had been a backup baker during an earlier application year. She returned and secured a place in the 2026 cast.[5]
Shannon left in the third week, Audience Choice Week. She named making cheesecake alongside her mother as her favourite challenge and praised the feedback on her Biscuit Week showstopper.[5]
She described bread as her main baking interest and said the series pushed her to try unfamiliar techniques. She also spoke about ambitions to run a cake shed and a studio for teaching baking.[5]
